2010 Spring harvest of wild grown tea from Ben Wan area in Anhua county. Basketbaging since 2010 has transformed this into a tea with honey, fruit fullness and depth. It may be steeped many times with each infusion lending its own charm and character.
‘Dark Tea is the predecessor of Pu-4th which uses some of the same fermenting methods. Dark tea is fermented in a humid environment to promote the growth of certain fungi which are called “Jin hut” literally “golden flowers”. Like Pu-era, dark tea aids digestion and improves the microorganism environments of the intestines and also contains abundant antioxidants. Studies show it can slow the progress of Type II Diabetes, enhance metabolism, immunity and lower blood fat.
This one ounce package is economical as you can get several cups of tea or pots by repeat brews.
